What is a Service Award?    Each HSC staff member who has been continuously employed by the University of Oklahoma for 5 years or more (five-year intervals) are recognized for their service to the University.   Please click on Service Awards for more information.  

Who receives a Service Award?   Any staff member who is benefits-eligible and at least .50 FTE and has been continously employed with the University for 5 years or more are recognized.   

What are the dates used to determine a Service Award?    Staff members who had a service anniversary (5 year increments) during the calendar year of 2012 will be recognized at the April 24, 2013 Employee Recognition Luncheon.  

Are Retirees recognized?   Individual staff members who retired from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center during 2012 will be recognized during the luncheon.   

Are other Awards presented?    Yes!   Several prestigious awards will be presented:  

• Employee of the Year (one of the Employees of the Month during 2012);
• Regents Award for Superior Staff;
• Staff Senate Appreciation Award.   

Can I attend, even if I am not receiving an Award?    Yes, we encourage staff and faculty to attend and celebrate the accomplishments of their co-workers.   For information on how to purchase a ticket, please see information below.      

Can I bring a guest?    Yes, guests are welcome at the Luncheon.   Tickets can be purchased online, by campus mail/personal check, or at the Staff Senate office (SCB 206B).  Cost of a luncheon ticket is $17 if purchased prior to April 12, 2013.  Tickets purchased after that date, or at the door, will be $20.  

How do I purchase luncheon ticket(s)?    Tickets for the 2013 Employee Recognition Luncheon are $17.00 and can be purchased online, via campus mail, or in person at the Staff Senate office until Friday, April 12, 2013.

• Include payment (check) and send to the Staff Senate office
  • If you wish to pay with cash, please bring completed order form with payment to the Staff Senate office.  (Do NOT send through mail).

What will be the menu for the luncheon ?   The Faculty House has catered the luncheon for several years and we have thoroughly enjoyed the food.   We will again enjoy their culinary expertise at the 2013 Employee Recognition Luncheon.   The buffet luncheon will include the following selections:

• Peppered Steak
• New Potatoes
• Italian Cut Green Beans
• Individual veggie tumblers with cracker baskets
• Fruit bowl
